MY STORY
I started C3 Vending out of desperation for time.
Â
I've worked in healthcare for 20 years, and I'm proud of that work. God has had His hand on every issue, every challenge and every promotion. My faith leads my life.
Â
But after my daughter was born in 2025, I was forced back into the office. I couldn't be home to raise her the way I raised my son, and that broke my heart. I was depressed, but I kept pushing through, going to work and coming home, with no plan for anything more.
Â
Then life hit hard. In February 2026, my father-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. In June, while we were away on a family vacation in Florida, he passed, just 36 hours after Father's Day. That Father's Day was the last time we saw his smile and shared a meal with him.
Â
When we got home from Florida, we found our house destroyed by a leaking condensation line, along with more than $120,000 worth of memories. My mother's suite on the main floor was ruined. Her home, her safe place, was taken from her.
Â
I cried, and I cried. I warred in the spirit, and I cried some more, until I heard His words. In my prayer time, I repeated them out loud to the Lord: "I only need a window 🪟 of mercy, and I'll crawl broken and bloody on my faith through it to better days."
Â
So I started to plan, a crazy, blind-faith plan.
Â
I had no financial means to fix anything, but God did. I didn't know how to bring His vision to life, but God did. I was approved for a small loan that I thought was meant for my home. Instead, God led me in a crazy way, toward vending. I spent thousands of hours researching into the wee hours of the night. In July I wrote my plan. In August I called the property manager of my building, and within four minutes he said, "Absolutely, Alexis!" In that moment I knew I was following God's plan.
Â
Then I took the biggest leap of all and bought my first machine. Brick by brick, I built C3 Enterprise Ventures, doing business as C3 Vending. I learned the hard way, through overbuying, underpricing, product flipping and figuring out locations. Today we have two live machines and a third launching soon. I still work full-time in healthcare, and I build this business by night.
Â
My first goal is to give my mom a home again and help her retire. Then I want to rebuild our home into a forever family compound, and one day step fully into who I've always been: an entrepreneur. Every machine is a brick in that foundation.
